As the days draw in closer, everyone that you know has probably brought up Grand Theft Auto IV to you at least once in a casual conversation.  Let’s face it, this game has been craved by gamers ever since word of the nextgen platforms was released to the public a few years back.  With the game’s release almost less than a month away, pre-orders are reaching an outstanding amount and people are marking their calendars for the game’s release.

Games industry analyst Michael Pachter has claimed Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV will sell six million copies in its first week of sale.  He also added that he expects the title to reach nine million in sales within its first year of being on market.

Six million?!  With the recent announcements by VGchartz that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Gears of War have just now hit the 5 million mark in copies sold, this will be quite the debut by arguably one of the most anticipated titles in recent years.

So there you have it ladies and gentleman, its only a matter of days before your Xbox Live friends list is populated by a plethora of people playing Grand Theft Auto IV.  Don’t worry though, you’ll be able to roam the streets of Liberty City soon enough to cause more havoc than your little heart could dream of.
