Multi-Player
The multi-player is the most satisfying around this side of Halo 3 & Call of Duty 4. The biggest advantage that the Gears of War multi-player has on other games, would be the cover system. In today’s age of complex games, a cover system is being more and more in demand.
Gears of War uses an ingenious cover system that combines an excellent selection of blindfire options. The weapons available on the multi-player modes are: sniper, hammerburst, boomshot, boltok, pistol, lancer, torque bow, shotgun, smoke & regular grenades. Each weapon is extremely well done & balanced (if you know the right technique) which provides for an amazing gameplay experience.

The game provides a plethora of achievements to unlock for the multi-player experience, with most of the weapon achievements being based on executing 100+ kills with each weapon. There are also achievements for performing certain types of kills, and various ones that are strictly for the individual game modes.
The games modes included in Gears of War are Warzone (the standard game mode where players can be revived), Execution (similar to Warzone except players can get up on their own after a specified time), Assassination (which has a designated leader who picks up the weapons), and Annex (which was added in an update and has respawns).
All in all, Gears of War provides to be one of the best multi-player shooters that we’ve come across to date.
