The fact remains that Unreal Tournament III will make its way on to the Xbox 360 at some point in the near future, but conflicting reports from various sources have left gamers wondering just exactly when.

A recent post by Mark Rein over at the Unreal forums, sheds some light, but grants no official release date.

"We don’t have a particular release date yet but we’re going to be playing it with some members of the press in two weeks at Midway’s next Gamers Day in Las Vegas. Should be fun. The game is coming along really nicely."

For those users who read EGM, they may have stumbled upon the article stating that Unreal Tournament III was slated for a May release.  While we don’t believe it will be released in May, we do believe that we’ll be seeing it on retail shelfs within the coming months.
