Grand Theft Auto IV once dominated the Xbox Live friends lists all across the world, and then quickly jumped off of the map. Honestly, you’re hard pressed to find a few of your friends playing this title consistently, as it appears to have dropped off of the map.
While most of us may have forgotten about the game that had us running and waiting outside of stores at midnight for its release, the folks at Rockstar have been hard at work. USA Today has now broken the news on when we can expect the downloadable content to hit the 360, and what we can expect within it.
Niko Bellic certainly grew on us all, but for the fans of Niko and his family, you’ll be playing with a different lead character this time around. This upcoming February 17th, you’ll be playing as Johnny Klebitz, a member of the Liberty City biker gang The Lost.
"Johnny is a very different character than Niko, with a very different background," says Dan Houser, vice president of creative development for Rockstar Games. "I can’t go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released. But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City."
The full title of this episode is The Lost and Damned, and you’re still going to need your original copy of GTA IV to play it as the content will not be standalone. The content is likely to run you around $15-20, and will reportedly add "hours of gameplay".
If you’re looking forward to seeing Niko again, he’s not entirely gone, as he’ll play a very small bit within the content. Those who played the title through will recall a few run-ins with the biker gang throughout the story.
